They understand what it takes to make a landscaping design really come to life, and much of it has to do with sustaining plant, shrub, and tree health through out the year. Plants need care at all times, not just during the blooming seasons; this means that you have to know what to do and when to do it, especially when it comes to supporting growth through the mulch beds. Every good bed begins with the mulch, and here are some tips in regards to the mulching process.

The first thing you need to keep in mind when it comes to your mulch is what kind you want to use. Different types of mulch do different things, and they aren’t all made up of the same kinds of compounds. In order to get the most out of your mulch, and ultimately your landscape, you need to use rich, organic mulch in order to promote the life of your plants. Organic mulch will help hold in moisture better than other brands, and it will keep your plants looking great all year until it’s time to do it all again.

In addition to using organic rich mulch, make sure you’re liberal when you spread the mulch through out the landscaping beds. Most people try to conserve their mulch by not spreading a lot around, but this doesn’t adequately support the plants for the coming season. Make sure you have at least an inch deep of new mulch over the already existing bed, and also make sure you none of the old mulch can be seen underneath. This should be the right amount for your bed.

C.M. Jones, Inc. is always willing to help their clients with their mulching techniques, and they can even do it themselves if the owner isn’t comfortable.
